In preparation for the upcoming integration of the WorldPerks® and SkyMiles programs, the account linking and mileage transfer tool will no longer be available and you will not be able to transfer miles between your linked accounts after August 31, 2009.
Transfer your miles today and take advantage of all the SkyMiles and WorldPerks redemption options, including Award Travel, upgrades, merchandise and extraordinary experiences. Transferring miles is complimentary, and there’s no limit on the number of miles or times you may transfer.
If you forget to transfer miles from your WorldPerks account to your SkyMiles account, we’ll do it for you when the two programs merge. So regardless, your miles are safe and sound.

ただ、英文を見る限りでは、そのまま手続きをしなくてもデルタとNWが完全に合併する際にマイルは統合されるとありますので、特にマイルがどちらの口座にあっても気にならない方はそのままほっておけば統合が済んでしまうようです。
